Provider Review Methodology

Provider Review Methodology

How we evaluate every provider

The BioForce Score is a composite of six criteria assessed independently by our editorial team. Scores range from 0–10. Affiliate compensation does not influence scores, ranking position, or editorial coverage decisions.

Scoring Criteria

1. Licensure (non-negotiable threshold)

Verified state medical licensing, prescribing authority, and pharmacy accreditation. Providers must hold valid licensure in all states where they operate. This criterion is pass/fail — providers that fail are excluded from the Index entirely.

2. Transparency

Full pricing disclosure before commitment, published protocol documentation, verifiable physician identity, and clear disclosure of compounding pharmacy relationships.

3. Clinical Rigor

Lab-gated onboarding, individualized dosing based on patient data, ongoing physician supervision (not one-time consult), and structured follow-up protocols with dose adjustment capability.

4. Consumer Safety

Clear contraindication screening, documented adverse event reporting pathways, and emergency escalation protocols. We evaluate whether providers have mechanisms for patients to report and respond to adverse events.

5. Value

Total cost relative to included services. We assess what is included in stated pricing: lab work, medication, follow-up consultations, dose adjustments, and patient support.

6. Disclosure Practices

FTC-compliant affiliate disclosure, clear sponsorship labeling, and genuine editorial independence practices. We assess whether providers are transparent about their commercial relationships with consumers.

How Scores Are Calculated

Each criterion is scored 0–10 by our editorial team based on publicly available information, direct provider inquiry, and ongoing monitoring. The composite BioForce Score is a weighted average. Scores are updated when material information changes.

Editorial Independence

Affiliate compensation does not determine which providers we cover, how we rank them, or the BioForce Score we assign. Providers cannot pay to improve their score. We may enter affiliate relationships only with providers that first meet our editorial criteria — not the other way around.
